E-Safety – Keeping children safe online

The Internet is a wonderful playground for children to explore and learn new things, however children are vulnerable at times if parents are not aware of the content of the games and sites that children visit.

Please make sure that you have a parental block on any devices that children use. I also want to bring to your attention two sites where children are being targeted by adults acting inappropriately; they are Musical.ly and Live.ly

Children are being encouraged to do things on these sites that are not appropriate and they are at times being directed to further grooming sites. I would advise you to remove these APPS entirely and immediately as they are putting innocent children at risk.

If you want to know more about internet safety, please refer to the NSPCC website where they have a Net Aware section that supports parents in these matters. You can also read others parents’ experiences. We will be running an E-Safety workshop in the future but if you have any immediate concerns or worries please make an appointment with Miss Street. We must all work together to keep children safe from harm.
