Thanks to those of you who were able to attend the Parents’ Showcase today. We hope you enjoyed seeing your child’s progress in their books. We also hope you enjoyed Park’s first Christmas carol concert and that you left feeling truly festive!
Please take a look at the school website as the Springs Clubs are now live on there and you can find all the booking information on there too. We are pleased that we now offer art, fencing and a new yoga class with a new instructor.
An assessment letter has been sent home today. Please follow the instructions on the letter to logon and find out the progress and attainment your child has made this term. If you have any trouble with this, please let the office staff know as we can talk you through how to log on.
I am delighted to welcome Ms Mileva to the Park team. Ms Mileva is working as a 1:1 TA in Year Four. Ms Mileva is delighted to join the Park team and she comes with many years experience as she is a qualified teacher from Bulgaria. Welcome Miroslava!
Thanks to Galina and Siobhan who prepared a delicious Christmas lunch for us all on Wednesday. Just look at those handmade Yorkshire puddings!
I am incredibly delighted with the improved attendance and punctuality at Park. In 2015/16, the percentage of Park children whose attendance fell below 85% (persistent absentees – PAs) was 15%, which is almost double the national average (8%). Our PA percentage now stands at 5.5%, which is excellent news! The national whole school attendance average is 96% and in 2015/16 Park fell well below that at a shocking 93.5%. I am delighted that this academic year, Park’s whole school attendance stands at 96.19%, which is a brilliant improvement. Let us try to reach 97% by the end of the academic year!
Thanks to all the teachers and support staff for their hard work during the last long term. I hope you all have a peaceful and happy break whatever you are doing.
