Park Community School PTFA.

The Committee

The main Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is run by a committee of parents and teachers, who are elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and is made up of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary who work very hard throughout the year.

The committee meets approximately every 4 weeks to think of, and organise, social and fundraising events in order to provide extra benefits for the school and your children’s enjoyment of school life.

If you are a parent of a child at Park Community School then you are already a member of the PTFA so come along and join in the fun.

Last year were excited to launch our school PTFA and this year hope that it will continue to grow and become a major part of school life. Our main aim is to raise money for the school to enhance the educational experience for our children.

However, we would like our PTFA to be about much more than simply fundraising. We hope to provide closer links between home and school and our events will be an excellent way to bring staff, parents, and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.

The AGM and PTFA meetings are open for everyone to attend. Please just come along if you can, and feel free to either offer your thoughts or just listen to what others say.

If you have any questions or would like further information about the PTFA please contact us.

PTFA Committee Members

The list below represents the main committee of the PTFA – we are all parents of children at the school, staff members or governors, and we share the responsibility for decision making, planning and management of the organisation.

There are also a number of Class Reps at any one time which are responsible for planning and delivery specific projects and events within the school. If you are interested in joining the PTFA committee, would like to be class rep or have a skill or profession that might help us with our activities, please <contact us.

Class representatives

Other members join as class representatives to help organise events and vote for what activities to run, how much money to spend and what fundraised money should be spent on.

The aim is for each class to have one representative.

Class Reps are your first point of contact for the PTFA. They share information about what is going on and pass back ideas and comments from you about how events are run, what money should be spent on and feedback on the work that the PTFA is doing. Class Reps also help organise class activities such as a Fair Stall and help to source and co-ordinate volunteers and class design work etc for events.

If you would like to volunteer as a class rep then please complete then please email us.

Ideas for events and how funds should be spent can come from you too… just click here to get in touch if you have ideas.
